Cindy Y. Chen started her entrepreneurial ventures since school days and has worked in the core departments at several top tier global companies. Her selected experience includes being part of the team working on the project tied to Alibaba’s IPO—one of the largest initial public offerings in the world at the time, being on an investment team that contributed to investment projects with deal sizes totaling in the multi-billion-dollar range, and working on projects for ultra-high net worth individuals and families, including billionaires. She also has experience investing in early stage technology and public companies. By her mid-20s, she had already taken on a leadership position in a multinational organization, and was awarded a merit-based fellowship from the Forte Foundation for her leadership. Together with her parents, she is the co-owner of Wonder Babies, an early education company.
From being a competitive dancer, cheerleader and award-winning singer and dancer throughout her childhood and teenage years, to releasing music, gracing as the cover model of fashion magazine and signing as a salaried live-streamer for Tencent’s platform, her path weaves through diverse sectors.
Her perspectives have been shaped by living, building a career, or studying in nearly a third of the world’s top 30 economically influential cities. She speaks fluent Mandarin and English and holds a Master of Business Administration(MBA) degree from Cornell University.
